We start with a 1:1 call to understand your household, your family, and your daily lives. From that, we create a role customized to exactly what you need — not a generic job posting pulled off a shelf.

ii.

Vet and Select

  • Thorough vetting so you only see the best
  • Interview support and guidance
iii.

Onboarding

Already have someone you love?

The alignment phase, à la carte.

If you already employ a nanny, housekeeper, or other household staff and want to leverage our process to support a smooth transition into an expanded role, we offer Step 4 as a standalone engagement. The filming kit, the documentation handbook, the structured check-ins — without the placement work.

What Sets Us Apart

The difference is in the details. We match to last.

Anyone out there can match you with a candidate. The hard part — and the piece that produces lasting value — is everything that happens after.

Your Family's Life, Downloaded

We send you a filming kit so you can capture exactly how things are done in your household. Where the socks go. How groceries are unpacked. What's dishwasher vs. hand-washed? Transfer everything that lives in your head.

A Customized Family Handbook

We digest your videos into a comprehensive handbook that lays out exactly how things are done in your household — a permanent, transferable asset that survives any staff transition.

Pre-Day 1 Training

Before they start, we train and make sure they're ready to hit the ground running. You have a lot on your plate. That's why we do this — to make sure the start of the relationship is as frictionless as possible.

Who We Are

Built by Working Professionals.

Hearth started because we couldn't find what we were looking for. We were the parents and working professionals trying to keep it together and constantly feeling behind.

We built Hearth to be the partner we wish we had — thorough, thoughtful, and invested in long-term fit rather than just filling a seat. We understand what you're looking for and speak your language because we're you.

Frequently Asked

Questions families ask us first.

What is the family handbook?

It's the centerpiece of our onboarding process. Before your housekeeper's first day, we ship you a filming kit and guided instructions. You (or whomever is relevant) records and narrates short videos showing exactly how things should be done — how you fold towels, organize the pantry, wash dishes. We process those videos and create a comprehensive, step-by-step handbook customized to your household. We train your housekeeper with this before they start. It's the most efficient and reliable way to transfer everything that lives in your head — the foundation for placements that last.

How do I employ and pay my housekeeper?

You will be considered your housekeeper's employer. We will guide you through how to manage and set up contracts, compliance, and payroll with trusted payroll partners.

What happens if the placement doesn't work out?

Within the first 60 days, if it doesn't work out — for any reason — we find a replacement at no additional cost. If you utilize our Family Handbook services, we extend this guarantee to an industry-leading 120 days.

How long does the placement process take?

From intake to their first day, the typical timeline is four to six weeks. We'll never rush the process and will always communicate clearly on what you should expect. We will always spend more time to find the right fit than rush and get it wrong.

How does the placement fee work?

A non-refundable deposit of $1,500 kicks off our intake call. The remainder of our placement and optional Family Handbook service is a flat fee, scoped according to the nature of the role. The fee structure will be clearly laid out during the call so there are no hidden surprises. Our minimum placement fee is $7,000.

Do you serve families outside major metro areas?

Yes. While our talent network is deepest in major metros, we source nationally and have placed in markets large and small. Some areas take longer or require creative sourcing — we'll tell you upfront what to expect for your location.
